Coal Oil Lamp
65.00
This is a very nice cast iron coal oil lamp. It is marked The Gaylord & Bogges Fdy. CO. in Cleveland, Ohio. These were used throughout the mines in the crosscuts and faces for light. This one was used in the Belle Ellen mine near West Blockton, AL. The screw cap is missing. It stands about 6 inches without the handle and about 9 1/2 inches when the handle is standing up.

Here is another nice pulley but it does not have the manufacture's label. The wheel is steel and the block is made of wood.

Coal Oil Lamp
85.00
These lamps were used along the old crosscuts and on the mining face for light underground in the old coal mines. This one was used in the Belle Ellen mines near West Blockton, AL. It is made either of tin or pewter and has beautiful patina all over it. The top has a star design on it and the hanging chain it still intact. The top still comes off. It stands around 6 1/2 inches at it's highest point.

Coal Miners Hat Lamp
135.00
This is a very nice and very hard to come by coal oil hat lamp. I picked this up from a elderly lady whose father worked at the Belle Ellen mine near west Blockton, AL. This type lamp was used extensively during the late 1800's and very early 1900's before carbide lamps came along. It stands 3 inches tall at the top of the flue. It looks to be made of brass but I am not going to clean or scratch it to find out.
